- "The hidden temple, Remiem. I'll be waiting. Come, and I will train you."
Remiem (レミアム＝エボン寺院 Remiamu-Ebonjiin) is an abandoned temple on the eastern side of the Calm Lands in Final Fantasy X. The path to the temple is located near the entrance to Macalania but can only be accessed by riding a chocobo. It is the only remaining sign of a pre-war city in the Calm Lands nowadays. No living people in Spira continue to visit the temple, and the only inhabitants are the unsent summoner Belgemine and the fayth of the Aeon Magus Sisters. The temple is a very large and ornate structure, which was once bustling but became forgotten after Sin had torn the earth asunder with the last of its strength combating High Summoner Gandof. It is surrounded by the same mountain range that Mt. Gagazet belongs to.
- Magus Sisters (A party of three non-elemental bug-like Aeons, which all fight at the same time)
There is no Cloister of Trials as is typical to the other Temples of Yevon. The temple itself is merely a large room with the entrance to the Fayth at the far end. In order to receive the Aeon, you must complete two challenges:
- After opening the Monster Arena, catch at least one of each kind of fiend in the Mount Gagazet area, and get the Blossom Crown.
- Fight and defeat each of Belgemine's Aeons. After defeating her Bahamut, Belgemine will give the party the Flower Scepter.
Use both key items to break the seal guarding the entrance to the Chamber of the Fayth, thus obtaining the Magus Sisters.
Sadly, in X-2, it has been sealed off by loads of big boulders which is unconfirmed if it was a person or something else.
- The Moon Sigil
Continue to fight all of Belgemine's Aeons. (Yojimbo, Anima, and the Magus Sisters will only appear if you already have them yourself). When all the Aeons are defeated, Yuna can send Belgemine to the Farplane. After she is gone, Yuna will obtain the Moon Sigil for her Celestial Weapon, Nirvana.
- The Chocobo Challenge
The player rides a Chocobo though the maze of platforms below the temple and has to reach the finish mark at the bottom before the opponent Chocobo arrives. The first time you are successful, you will get the Cloudy Mirror which can be upgraded to the Celestial Mirror in Macalania Woods. The Chocobo race can run numerous times for additional prizes, however each prize can only be won once for a total of five prizes. The more Chests that are touched, the better the prize. These prizes are:
- 1 Chest: Elixir
- 2 Chests: Mega Elixir
- 3 Chests: Wings to Discovery (x30)
- 4 Chests: Pendulum (x30)
- 5 Chests: Three Stars (x60)
