Tifa's Father

Tifa's father, slain by Sephiroth.

"Tifa...Tifa... Run, hurry."
—Tifa's Father

Tifa's Father was a resident of Nibelheim prior to the events of Final Fantasy VII. He was killed by Sephiroth in the Nibelheim Incident before the beginning of the game. This led Tifa to join AVALANCHE to fight against Shinra and SOLDIER. Tifa's father also blamed Cloud when Tifa hurt herself on Mt. Nibel when she was trying to find her mother. Tifa's father only appears in flashbacks in Final Fantasy VII, and also appears in Last Order -Final Fantasy VII-.

Story[]

Last Order -Final Fantasy VII-[]

Tifa is seen running through a burning Nibelheim shouting out to her father and asking him to respond, when she sees her master Zangan, who tells her Sephiroth set fire to the town and killed the townspeople. Tifa asks where her father is, and Zangan replies that he went to Mt. Nibel. Tifa starts to run toward the mountain, but an injured man cries out, telling her not to go for fear of Sephiroth. Tifa ignores him and rushes quickly toward the mountain.

She arrives at the Mako Reactor and finally finds her father lying injured on the ground. Sephiroth's Masamune stands close by and is covered in blood. Tifa tells him to hang on, cradling him in her arms. He slowly tells her to run away and then dies before her eyes. It is then that Tifa declares her hatred for Shinra, SOLDIER, Mako, and Sephiroth. She runs into the Reactor to confront Sephiroth with his own sword but is disarmed and cast aside easily.
